Who's Your herd - teen program

This is orientation day. We get to know the horses and each other through activities designed to welcome each other to the herd

This day we focus on integrity and how our actions produce results. One of our activities requires complete concentration and helps us ground ourselves.

This day we focus on what makes up a "herd" and who's in our herds and how they influence our decisions. Our horse activity centers around assisting/mentoring others.

This day we focus on teamwork. Our horse activity requires the group to work as a team with non-verbal communication to accomplish a task.

This day we focus on Leadership. Using a non-predatory leadership model we learn to connect and lead without force or dominance.

The Sunday after our last session we invite the entire family out for a celebration to show off our achievements. We host a community meal and give the opportunity to for other family members to enjoy a day with the horses. We welcome all on this day.
